Studio Kirchmer was founded in Miami, Florida by designer and former architect Kendra Kirchmer. Since its inception in 2016 the Studio has gained international and national attention through exhibitions in Milan & NYC. Kendra Kirchmer is an artist and designer whose work celebrates precise moments; a simple connection detail, the amazing variations in tone found in a single piece of walnut, or even the sound of a drawer opening and closing. Her works is inspired by these simple moments of fascination, activity, and use. She believes that every material tells a story and the minimal forms and refined elements of the pieces reflect the her intent to give them a voice. She recently completed her MFA in Furniture Design from the Rhode Island School of Design, where she was awarded the President's Scholarship. Before turning her focus to furniture, she practiced both residential and commercial Architecture at nationally recognized design firms around the country.
